I thought my life was over when I learned I had HSV1. But in a way it was a blessing, for I have found my other half. I may not be religious, but having found the one makes me believe that everything happens for a reason. I am still in awe everyday that I have found him and how well we fit together.

Advice to other members:

My fiancee ), was about to cancel his account when I contacted him. We lived 6 hours apart but we gave it a shot. I think members should definitely broaden their search and not rule out anyone. If you are recently diagnosed with any incurable STD, please don't give up, because life goes on.

New beginning  (Dating)

After a short initial chat in November and a brief courtship it did not take us long to know that we were meant to be together. Currently we are still living separately. But after a week in the Mexican Riviera together it sealed the deal. We have now began the process of integrating our lives together. Purchasing a condo together, and introducing one another to our family and loved ones. It is a very exciting time and we cannot wait to continue our journey; together.

Advice to other members:

If there is any advice we could give, it would be to never ever give up faith in people, faith in love, and faith in yourself. There is a match out there for everyone. Even though the dreaded H entered both of our lives years apart; it has been the catalyst that brought us together. Now we chuckle, at what a blessing it truly has been for the both of us.
Although you feel paralyzed and broken when your diagnosis is handed down to you; it is about putting the pieces back together, and finding that person to help you make the pieces of the puzzle fit back together again.
Blessings to everyone who is reading this; feel free to msg either one of us for advice or more about us.

Don't Give Up!  (Dating)

I had been a member for about a year before I met my boyfriend. I had been on a few first dates, some of them good some of them bad. Though I did at times get to the point of throwing up my hands, I am glad that I did not give up.

I used to wonder "why, oh why me", but now I am so thankful. I have met the man of my dreams! If it were not for this road I am on, if it were not for this site, I would never have met my better half. If ever we were to have a child we'll name it after you lol :)
Thank you!

Advice to other members:

Do not ever EVER give up! Leave as detailed a profile as possible, post pictures! The more detail and pictures you post, the more nibbles you will get!
Be open, go on first dates! The only way you'll know for sure is if you try!

I posted our success story on here back in Sept and now I'm updating our status to officially engaged as of a few days ago. In less than 2 weeks I will be moving to Colorado and moving in with him. I'm excited to start my life here in Colorado, including a fabulous new job and a whole new chapter of my life.

We are planning on getting married sometime in 2011. I will post another update once we get married. Thank you Positive Singles for making this a possibility.

Soul Mates for Real  (Engaged)

We noticed each other's pictures many many times....he finally email me and I emailed him back. We shared some silly questions and answers, chit chatted, asked some more serious questions and decided to meet.

We met at a terrible little pub...had some terrible food. We hugged in the parking lot. He called me 2 weeks later and we met for dinner. We had a good time...I didn't think he liked me, but he called me again :) We talked on the phone a lot
He bought an apartment and I brought him a housewarming/birthday gift...
We kissed Butterflies. We both have 8 year old boys. We waited 6 months to introduce them. We have found so much love between the 4 of us. We are getting married on March 12, 2011....couldn't possibly live without each other now.

Thank you Positive Singles, without this site our paths would never have crossed.
