I guess I never really gave any thought to whether or not there may be a dating site, I just thought of support groups. I did not let herpes keep me from dating whomever, but I think there is a practical side to dating from our community. I've known for over two years, and he only knew for six months. I emailed Nick a few days before my month ended and got a response the same day. We met on Christmas the day my membership expired. Everyone says we were matched so well. I wish I knew about this site when I found out that I had herpes. It would've been so much easier.
Advice to other members:
Regardless of how you contracted your std, accept it, and know that it does not reflect on your value as a person, and this site is a source of support and being practical.
I have met someone on the site and am now dating them. He was a gold member and emailed me first. I liked his profile so we started chatting. We emailed roughly every other day for 2 - 3 months then finally agreed to meet. We live 2 hours from each other me so decided it was fair to meet half way on neutral ground. We met in Crewe at the train station and went for a few drinks and hit it off. It's still early days but we meet every weekend and things are going really well.
Tps, I think even if you’re not a member you should still be able to view all the photos on someone’s profile and wink as much as you want.
I messeged a women on here by the screen name infectedfuture. Neither of us thought we could find love. We found on our first date that we had many things in common. It didn't take us long to fall head over heals in love. We are thankful for positivesingles bringing us together. =)

There is no way in my eyes for you to improve. You helped me find my true love.
Who knew that having an STD could lead you to your perfect match? After winks and e-mails, we started talking on the phone and have done so every day for a couple of months! We had our first date the day before Valentine's Day-how romantic! We have been together and very happy ever since:)
Last week I created a generic profile on positive singles. I was nervous as this was the first time I've done anything like this. It was very generic with no information that might identify that it was me. The first day I received an email from a person whose background sounded very familiar. Turns out it was Keith, the one who got away! We dated previously and havent' seen or vistited each other in over three years. We visited via email for four days and have decided to give it another go! It was meant to be.
Nothing...it's fabulous
