Well, I actually was looking for a woman between the ages of 48 and 61. I made a mistake and put in 44 to 61 and saw this beautiful hispanic/white woman. I wrote and she was kind of wow an older but good looking man..hum... We wrote and then talked on the phone for a week then met. I drove to Austin from Dallas. We hit it off real nice..I have lots to offer and she does to. She never mentions the age difference, 20, and since I am healthy and young looking and acting we are doing well. We're a long-distance connection (Iowa and California) so it's going to be interesting. We have not met in person yet, but are sharing lots of information via technology. One of the first things we did together was agree on reading a couple of books together. Our initial choices were "The Long Distance Relationship Survival Guide" and "His Needs, Her Needs." This gave us a really great foundational start for discussions about the most important values, and also compared notes on how "durable" we see ourselves in terms of a long-distance connection.
We'll see how it goes... I've enjoyed the site, and will definitely recommend it to others if the opportunity arises. I wish I would have known about this site 4 years ago instead of going the "Match" and "EHarmony" route... both good sites, but it's just nice to have the "Club Card" already out on the table, and you can move on and focus on more important things.

Thank you! I met someone special and we are happy. We emailed for a week then started talking on the phone for hours. One day we talked 27 times! We met for coffee and it was very comfortable. The next date we went to the zoo and at the end we kissed. It was perfect. We have become very close and we are enjoying each others company whenever we can. There is some distance between where we live but we make the most of our time together. Who knows where it may lead but marriage is a bit premature for now as there is still so much to explore about each other. I just wanted to say thanks.
