I am happy to report to you that Dan and I got back together and decided to get married down the line! We are very happy after taking a break.
We met in early October and took a break since we moved so fast with our relationship over the holidays.

I was very skeptical at first and really thought at most I'd find a hook up. After talking via phone, text, and emails for about a month we finally met for the first time. We stayed in the restaurant until well after they closed just talking. After many more dates we moved in together and are currently trying to plan out a wedding and trying for our first child. I've never been in love, never knew true love, until him. Thanks PS!!!

Give the guys the benefit of the doubt... when you're face to face is when you really see who they are.
After browsing the site for a week or two, I had only found one man whose profile and pic interested me. However, it said he had not logged in, in over a year. On the off chance he would get sent a notice, I decided to send him a short email and then basically wrote it off as a long shot.
Two weeks later he replied back; he was so open and honest right off the bat that I could only hope this would go somewhere. After emailing back and forth for about a month he finally convinced me to call him. From that night on we spoke everyday. Pretty soon he moved across the country to Colorado so we could actually 'start' dating. I remember when I went to the airport to meet him....when I saw him for the first time and he gave me this amazing smile, I knew that he was my soulmate. He treats me and my son like royalty. Despite his bad boy appearance, he is perfection personified. Damn I am lucky!
Advice to other members:
Be honest and be yourselves. Don't try to find someone that you can change to fit you and don't try to fit someone else. I also would suggest not limiting your search to locals, mine was several hundred miles away :)

One year later i stumble upon this glorious dating site. So instead of testing the waters i dove right in and grasped my hands on a gold membership. One month turns to three months and still nothing too significant turns up for me meaning i wasn't receiving responses from the girls i was interested in. Coming down to the last week before i shut down shop i receive a wink from an attractive young lady in Oklahoma. To simplify things we just exchanged numbers and developed a texting relationship.

Now that we've met we seem to like each other a great deal and wanna make it work but, there's just one issue there's roughly 2,000 miles separating us. We plan to try and make it work. I (rach84) thought my life was over when I learned I had HSV1. But in a way it was a blessing, for I have found my other half. I may not be religious, but having found trw1986 makes me believe that everything happens for a reason. I am still in awe everyday that I have found him and how well we fit together.
Advice to other members:
My fiancee (trw1986), was about to cancel his account when I contacted him. We lived 6 hours apart but we gave it a shot. I think members should definitely broaden their search and not rule out anyone. If you are recently diagnosed with any incurable STD, please don't give up, because life goes on.
